Comprehensive eye exams

Every comprehensive eye exam will be personalized for the patient. Testing will be done to ensure the vision and eye health is thoroughly assessed for any potential eye diseases and health-related problems.

Vision and eyeglasses prescription check- visual acuity at distance and near will be assessed, along with a finalized, accurate prescription

Cataract and Glaucoma screening- intraocular pressure, medical history and the structures of the eye will be analyzed for risk

Dry eye assessment- tear film, eyelid glands and symptoms will be addressed

Retina assessment- backside of the eyes will be assessed for risk of common retinal conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy


Dry eye Treatments

Dry eye is among the most common eye problems that patients face on a daily basis.

Treatments available at our offices allow for treatment of dry-eye related issues at the root of its problem. Issues such as irritation or itching of eyes, frequent tearing, blurry vision and redness of eyes, can all be treated.

Available treatments:

o Artificial tears, warm compress

o Prescription eye drops

o Punctal plugs and scleral contact lenses

o ILux, Dry Eye Laser, Lipiflow

o Anti-inflammatory eye drops: autologous serum and platelet rich plasma (PRP)

Specialty Contact Lenses

Scleral Lenses

Large diameter lenses that rest on the white part of the eye, the sclera.

Custom-made to fit the shape of your eye with a fluid reservoir to improve comfort of the eyes.

Indicated for patients with dry eyes, keratoconus, and other cornea-related irregularities.

Ortho-K

Specialized lenses that re-shape the cornea temporarily to drastically improve the vision.

The lenses are worn overnight and removed in the morning to enjoy clear vision throughout the day.

Indicated for children with myopia, active patients involved in sports, patients wanting to be free from wearing glasses.


Children’s eye exams and Myopia Control

With the increased screen time and reduced outdoor time for children, myopia (near-sightedness) has become a very real problem in our communities.

To help treat and manage this issue, we now have a variety of ways to reduce the progression in children. These methods include:

o Specially-designed myopia control glasses

o Myopia control contact lenses

o Overnight Ortho-k Lenses

o Atropine therapy
